Glomtom International LLC was started from the passion of a geek/gamer Clif Chambliss who wanted to create a company that could offer a product that would enhance the comfort and enjoyment for those who play video games and hold everything from tablets to smart phones and print media. Clif is passionate about both video games and the video game industry and has spent hundreds of hours podcasting and blogging about them over the years. It is this passion that has driven Clif to create a product that will help others enjoy video games and tablets as much as he does and to change the way people sit and play video games.
The Glomtom® was conceptualized from a discovery that Clif made while holding his sleeping infant children during long video gaming sessions late at night. Realizing that he had discovered an incredibly more comfortable way to rest his arms and hands while holding a controller, he set out to develop and bring to market the first product developed exclusively for gamers and people seeking ultimate comfort while sitting with game controllers and various other devices.
With the support of his lovely wife, Clif began researching product development and ultimately connected with a design company who could help him construct and test the prototypes of The Glomtom®. After eight months of collaboration and bootstrapping, the final version of The Glomtom® was ready to be introduced to the world with the promise of ultimate comfort and ergonomics while gaming. Glomtom was successfully funded on Kickstarter in June of 2014 and is now available in the United States with plans for expansion into Canada, UK, Europe and Japan.
When not playing games on just about every platform and working full time, Clif is a graduate student working on his Masters in Business and resides in the Seattle area with his wife and three children.
